Abstract
A simplified wind speed probe was developed and aerodynamic characteristics of the probe were researched through the wind tunnel test for the application in the wind tunnel test of wind environment around buildings.Based on the principle of wind speed probe proposed by Irwin,a kind of simplified wind speed probe was developed for wind tunnel test of wind environment around buildings,and the factors affecting pressure of wind speed probe were studied.The wind speed probes were calibrated,and the calibration coefficients were given for different heights.The test accuracy for different wind speeds in turbulent flow field and the affect of interference effects on the probe test accuracy were studied,and finally the wind environment of a typical small residential was tested.Research results show that,the simplified wind speed probe developed in this paper has high precision on measuring average wind speed,and can be used for wind tunnel test of wind environment around buildings.
