Abstract
OBJECTIVE To get the message of fungal types and constitution on onychomycosis in latest 3 years.METHODS The causative fugi from nail samples of 761 patients with onychomycosis were isolated, material from the affected nail was obtained for KOH microscopic examination and culture.RESULTS DLSO(65.18%) was the most frequent clinical type, followed by TDO(19.58%),PSO(9.99%) and SWO(5.25%).Totally 520 strains of pathogenic fungi were cultured. The most frequently isolated fungus was dermatophytes(66.15%),such as trichophyton rubrum(50.58%) and the yeasts(27.88%),such as Candida albicans(13.08%);Aspergillus fumigatus accounted for 2.50%.CONCLUSION DLSO is the major clinical type, followed by TDO,PSO and SWO.The most frequently pathogenic fungus of onychomycosis is dermatophytes, followed by yeasts and fungi.
