Abstract
Cross-project knowledge transfer is an important way of knowledge accumulation and creation in many companies.Based on the existing literature of knowledge transfer, this paper has built a draft influencing factor model of cross-project knowledge transfer. After a single-case study based on the real estate business unit of K Company,we have adjusted the model and made it more accurate. We find that what is quite different from common knowledge transfer is that cross-project knowledge transfer is especially affected by the characters of projects(similiarity between projects, time urgency of projects) and embeddedness of knowledge.Moreover,cross-project knowledge transfer may be more effective if companies could use mixed strategy transfer. This paper has some implications on the theory and practice of cross-project knowledge transfer.
