Abstract

The morphological traits were described at each stage of embryonic development of the cultured hybrid siniperca chuatsi. The fertilized eggs were pale yellow and spherical in shape with a diameter of 1.52±0.16 mm.The eggs had several different sizes of oil-droplets.The embryonic development of hybrid siniperca chuatsi was the same with previous reported siniperca chuatsi, which can be categorized into 7physiological stages with 27 periods depending upon morphology:the blastoderm formation stage, cleavage stage, blastula stage, gastrula stage, neural stage, organogenesis stage and hatching stage. The embryonic development lasted for 34h50 min to develop into organs, and 98 hto complete the embryonic development at water temperature of 19.5±1.2℃.The total length of newly hatched larvae was 3.55 mm,and the sum of temperature was 1 982.38℃·h.
