Overview of Research on Valuation of Wetland Ecosystem Services

Ecosystem service valuation has become a hot topic of ecological research in the past few years.Ecosystem service valuation integrates the related subjects such as ecology,economics,sociology and ethics.It is trying to partly or fully discover the economic value of ecosystem services.Wetlands are one of the three biggest ecosystems in the world.Based on studying overseas cases and articles on ecosystem and wetland service valuation,this paper mainly reviews and summarizes the history and progress of valuating ecosystem and wetland ecosystem services in the world and China and points out some current deficiencies existent in valuating wetland ecosystem services.At last,this paper gives some suggestions and exerting directions for wetland ecosystem service valuation.
