Experimental Study on Karst Erosion of Rocks from an Expressway Great Bridge Location

Abstract

The Karst is a significant problem in the face of constructions in carbonate rock area.Firstly,the basic conditions and the growth mechanism of the Karst are discussed in this paper.Secondly,the experimental study on Karst erosion of rocks from an expressway great bridge location is introduced.Finally,based on the experimental study results,the Karst characteristics of rock masses at the banks of the bridge are obtained,and the effects of Karst on the main foundations of the bridge and the issues that must be paid more attention to are presented.
