Abstract
Max Reger (1873~1916) was an individual European composer in the end of 18th century. He preferred counterpoint music writing that being very special in the period of Romantic, which homophony been dominated. Roger;s music was not only returned to the early counterpoint, but also an indication to the renascent counterpoint music in 20th century at hand. To research his representation counterpoint works, especially to explore the relationship between the counterpoint and harmony in them, it would be very helpful for us to study the counterpoint music creation under the Romantic style.
