Abstract
We studied the effects of different concentrations of compound fertilizer acting on water spinach growth according to morphological and physiological indexes under water planting condition. The results showed that, for treatment T_4(with compound fertilizer concentration of 1.5 g/L),the water spinach grew strongly with high yield and moderate content of chlorophyll,in addition, nitrate content did not exceed the maximum limit value prescribed by our country.Because of the low content of nitrite, the water spinach products met the national standard of green vegetables. Therefore treatment T_4 with compound fertilizer concentration of 1.5 g/L was suitable for water planting of water spinach.
