Abstract

Cai Yuan-pei's idea about how to reform the structure of higher education subjects is an evolving process.However,from beginning to end,there is a main clue,i.e.theory as fundamental and technique as branch.The main content of his idea about the reform includes: arts-science and practical subjects need to be separated,arts and science should be channeled and preparatory program should be provided in university.
