Abstract

The benevolence thought is most important part of the Analects of Confucius,and also basic principle of its ethic thought and highest moral ethic.This article tries to analyze background,the meaning and its practical value of benevolence thought.Confucius started from natural affection to expand humanity,based on filial piety.His purpose was to teach people to pursue a meaningful life by practicing these ethics and make society better and better.
