Abstract

Imidazolines imidazolinyl-quaternary ammonium salts were synthesized from stearic acid ,benzoic acid, lauricacid, diethylene triamine and triethylenetetramine which offered good corrosion inhibition for N80 steel, and imidazoline quaternary ammonium salts perform much better. The corrosion rate of N80 steel material was reduced to 0.692g/m2h by adding 0.5% midazoline quaternary ammonium salt MBT in the acidic liquid with 12% chlorhydric acid at 60℃.When it is used with corrosion inhibitors, the inbibition performance can be further improved. The corrosion rate of N80 steel material is reduced to15.91g/m2h in the acidic liquid with mud acid at 150℃ by adding 2% inhibitors. And their inhibiting types are discussed by electrochemical experiments.
