Abstract
Based on systemic studies of geology and geochemistry characteristics of Baimazhai Cu-Ni deposit in Jinping county, Yunnan province, it is suggested that the Baimazhai ore deposit was formed in Variscan post-arc extensional environment of continent margin. An ore-forming model with fractional crystallization of mantle-derived magma melt-crystal difference, magma, ore-bearing magma, ore-rich magma, ore-magma pulsed inrush in turn, post-mineralization lamprophyre magma intrusion and superposition mineralization has been proposed. Ore-forming model of the Cu-Ni deposit is established and exploration suggestions at the periphery and deep part of deposit are pointed out.
