Abstract

Some characteristic and process of reverse engineering as well as primary function of surface modeling of CATIA are introduced simply.The method of surface modeling of CATIA is explored with example of the door of Automobile. The research indicates that the application of CATIA in product designing can improve the efficiency of research and development.
