Abstract

Cellulose is an abundance renewable resource,and couldn't be widely used probably due to its poor solubility.Ionic liquid,as an effective green solvent,can dissolve cellulose perfectly.This article reviewed the dissolution of cellulose with ionic liquid and its applications in fractionation of lignocellulosic materials,perparation of cellulose derivatives and cellulose composites.
