Abstract
To explore the clinical significance of plasma natriuretic peptide in the diagnosis of patients with heart failure (HF), the plasma atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) ,brain natriuretic peptide (BNP),NT-pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels in 129 patients with heart failure and 30 healthy controls were detected by RIA and ELISA. The results showed that the plasma ANP, BNP,NT -proBNP levels in patients with heart failure were significantly higher than the healthy controls. As the cardiac function deteriorated from NYHAⅠ toⅣ,the BNP and NT-proBNP levels increased consecutively with significant differences from each other. There was a negative correlation between the plasma ANP and NT-proBNP levels and LVEF. The determination of plasma ANP,BNP and NT-proBNP levels in patients with HF were helpful to the study of the severity and diagnosis of disease.
