Abstract
Objective To observe the diadynamic value of electromyography(EMG)for brachial plexus injuries.Methods The routining EMG examination,including nerve conduction velocity(NCV),sensory action potential(SNAP),somatosensory evoked potential(SEP),were performed to forty brachial plexus injuries patients.Results Among all the 40 cases,18 cases were total brachial plexus root injuries,including 16 pre-ganglion injuries,and 2 post-ganglion injuries.NCV abnormity occurred in 88 nerve examination(88/150);SNAP abnormity occurred in 32 eaamination(32/84);SEP abnormity occurred in 14 examination(14/26);Abnormal spontaneous electrical activity occurred in 243 muscles(243/420).Conclusion The EMG examination has an important role in the diagnosis and prognosis of brachial plexus nerve injuries.
