Abstract
Empiricalism views the space as a physical and outside place, while intellectualism regards it as the subjective ability. However, Merleau-Ponty argues that the third spatiality is prior to both kinds of space, and it is a firm foundation for the physical and subjective space. One's own body is not in the spatiability, while living in the spatiality. We are living in the spatiability by Body's schema. Spatiality is a kind of phenomenon in the situation. Virtually, spatiality reveals the bi-directional relation between Da-sein and the world. And this relationship has replaced the traditional dichotomy of subject-object dualism.
