Abstract

Before and during the reform and opening up, we have undergone the changes from the national industrialization model to a new one. In the coastal region of eastern China, the transformation of the mainstay of industrialization has gradually been made, by developing diverse forms of non-public sector of economy, in addition to the planned economy under public ownership. This present paper refers to the particular economic phenomenon arising in the process of China's economic transition as the second industrialization, and points out that the key to the western development remains the furthering of industrialization, whereas the second industrialization is the only way to a well-to-do society in western region. Through an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages before the second industrialization, the paper also expounds the necessary innovation in some aspects in doing the job.
