Abstract
A new kind of catalyst was prepared through gallium sulfate reacting with strong acid cation ion exchang resin. That modified strong acid cation ion exchang resin with gallium sulfate had excellent catalytic activity in synthesizing amyl hexanoate.Factors influencing the yield were discussed and the best conditions were found.Experimental results showed that hexanoic acid 0.1 mol, molar ratio of alcohol to acid 1.4,the catalyst 0.75 g,reaction time 60 min and toluene 15 mL,the yield can reach 97.8%.It also has good reusability. When it's being used five times, the yield is 88.4%.
