Effect of Water and Fertilizer Coupling on Fruit Growth and Yield of Hot Pepper

Abstract

The effect of water and fertilizer coupling on fruit growth and yield of hot pepper was studied in the pot experiment by water- controlling in greenhouse. The result showed that the fruit shapes of hot pepper were changed into Sin different water and fertilizer levels. The fast growth period of fruit after blossoming 10~31d was a important stage effecting yield. Reasonable application of water and fertilizer was useful for fruit growth and taking shape of single fruit. With the improvement of water and fertilizer, the yield of hot pepper was increased. But the application of high nitrogen, high phosphorus and potassium would decrease the yield with different soil water treatments, the weigh of single fruit,fruit wide and fruit amount were reduced and decreased yield of hot pepper in higher fertilizer supplying,not supplying fertilizer and water deficit level,the yield factors and yield were the best in rational water and fertilizer supplying levels,under this condition,the synergistic inactivation of water and nutrient improved the yield of hot pepper. With decrease of nutrient and water, the yield reduced, the difference of every treatments was obvious,this showed that reasonable water and better fertilizer suppling were the base for improving the yield of crops.
