Abstract
The Shiyaogou deposit, located in the intersection part of the nearly EW-strike Machaoying fault belt with NE-strike Jiaoyuan fault belt,is a large molybdenum deposit newly discovered in molybdenum metallogenic belt, east Qingling,Henan Province.Currently, the proved reserve of the deposit is more than one hundred thousand tons, and the average grade is 0.064%.This molybdenum deposit is located in the Shizimiao gold orefield, and there are several gold or polymetallic deposits or ore spots in the surrounding area.Base on the ore-bearing conditions and the characteristics of the geochemical anomaly, the paper mainly expounds the ore-forming geological conditions and genetic connection between this molybdenum deposit and the surrounding gold deposits, and proposes that the mineralization mother rock is the concealed small pophyry intrusions, the mineralization enrichment position is in the internal or external contact zones of the small intrusion bodies. The ore-forming material source of the gold and silver is Poqian Formation, which is closely related to magmatism.Meanwhile, the author suggests that the deposits of the molybdenum and glod, silver belong to a same ore-forming system.According to the geochemical results and drilling data,it is predicted that there are some small concealed ore-bearing pophyries which are similar to the concealed pophyry bodies in Shiyaogou, which provide a new clue for further prospecting work.
