Abstract
This paper deals with the test and analysis of the structure strength of four-cylinder diesel engine crankcase. The research is done in the following steps: first the fatigue lifespan of material under given survival rate is got after material test has been analyzed; then the fatigue reliability of crankcase material is evaluated according to the force level of the crankcase under the condition of both prestressing and stress forces; finally the reliability is proof-tested by stimulated fatigue test.
