Abstract
Decolorization and biodegradation occurred in the shallow static liquid culture system of Phanerochaete chrysosporium with 6 kinds of dyes. After incubation of 30 days, the decolorization of Congo Red, Chrysosphenine and Remazol Turquoise Blue G was in range of 92%~99%. The biodegradation efficiency of 10,50,100 mg/L Remazol Turquoise Blue G, 50, 100 mg/L Tropaeolin O and Azure A, and 100 mg/L Remazol Brilliant Blue R is over 70%.60% of 18 samples had the efficiency of biodegradation over 50%. Bioadsorption and biodegradation were both important processes in removal of dyes from the incubation media of Phanerochaete chrysosporium. The investigation showed that this fungus species had broad spectrum and effective ability to decolorize and degrade for vrious groups of dyes.
