Selecting and Breeding on Maize Hybrid Pinyu No.3 with High Yield,High Starch and Multiple Resistance

Pinyu No.3 was bred by Instituten of Crop Germplasm Resources of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2000,which was combined Pinxi 293 as female parent and Pinxi 383 as the male parent.Through several years trial and planting in different areas and conditions,the hybrid showed that Pinyu No.3 increased the yield of more than 5% comparing with the varieties used in production.It has the characteristies of good yield potential,multiple resistance,high starch and high yield of seed growing.It is suitable to spring planting in middle-late part of Shanxi province and summer planting in Huanghuihai area of China.
