Abstract

This paper deals with the effect of the crude extract from pepper on the Bio-activity of Plutella xylostella under the natural temperature.The results showed that the extracts from pepper demonstrated most potent anti-feeding efficacy and inhibition to growth and development against 3rd larvae of Plutella xylostella,the no choice anti-feeding rate and the choice anti-feeding rate were 82.46 % and 85.29 % respectively,24 h and 48 h of inhibitory rate were 86.60% and 98.55% respectively.It also has strong deterrent and inhibition to oviposition of adult,and the oviposition amount of adult decreased 60%.
