Abstract

As the IP net is more and more uncapable of meeting the growing demands of the Internet development,the recently arising MPLS technique,perfectly combining the fast ATM and dynamic IP routing protocol,is capable of improving the bandwidth and extendability of the Internet.In this paper,the origin,development,basic principles and future use of the MPLS are presented.
