Investigation on AIDS Related Knowledge and Sexual Behavior Among Female Sex Workers in Zhoukou

Abstract

Objectives To investigate AIDS related knowledge and high risk behavior among the female sex workers(CSWs) in Zhoukou,and to provide the evidence for scientific and effective prevention measures.Method A structured questionnaire was anonymously administered face to face to reachable 560 CSWs in the five project counties.Results The overall AIDS related knowledge awareness rate among the female sex workers was 94.71%,98.16% prostitutes received AIDS advocacy;98.53% of commercial release received condoms;83.52% of the size in the last three months each time when commercial sexual activity are using condoms;60.61% appeared among the symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases related to regular hospital for treatment.Conclusion Project area the size of the crowd AIDS advocacy work continued in a solid and effective,100% use of condom promotion.
