Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical effects of prevention of subcutaneous hydrops , skin flap necrosis after modified radical mastectomy of breast carcinoma by single-tubular drainage with negative pressure , elastic pressure bandage. Methods: All 144 patients treated by modified radical mastectomy of breast carcinoma in nearly 5 years were randomly divided into the experimental group (group A), 72 cases of patients with single-tubular drainage by one-time drainage apparatus ,wrapped with elastic pressure bandage; the control group (group B) ,72 patients were treated with bitubular drainage with negative pressure by one-time drainage apparatus, wrapped with elastic pressure babdage. Results: The drainage volume of the first 24-hour of group A (86.2ml±28.5 ml) was less than that of group B (143.8ml±47.3ml),(P0.01);the total drainage volume of group A (247.6ml±35.4ml) was less than group B (328.3ml± 34.8ml),(P 0.05); the subcutaneous hydrops rate of group A (12.5%) was lower than group B (16.7%), the skin flap necrosis rate of group A (4.2%) lower than group B (5.6%) (but P0.05). Conclusion: The method of continuous single-tubular drainage with negative pressure and elastic pressure bandage wrapping is effective to decrease the rate of subcutaneous hydrops , skin flap necrosis after modified radical mastectomy of breast carcinoma.
