Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of pleural cavity injection of 50% glucose and cisplatin for patients with lung cancer with pleural effusion. Methods: Totally 65 patients with lung cancer with pleural effusion were treated by injection of 50% glucose and cisplatin in the pleural cavity every week. Results: With three months follow-up, the total effective rate was 95.38%.The pleural effusion disappeared in 40 cases (61.54%),decreased in 22 cases (33.84%). Conclusion:Injection of 50% glucose and cisplatin in pleural cavity for patients with lung cancer and pleural effusion is simple, feasible and effective.
