Toxicity measurements of fourteen insecticides/acaricides to Tyrophagus putrescentiae(Acari: Acaridae)

Abstract

The toxicity of fourteen insecticides/acaricides to Tyrophagus putrescentiae was studied using dry residual film method.The results showed that all insecticides/acaricides were effective against adult females.The most effective insecticide was abamectin(LC_50 = 0.2568 mg·L~-1) and the least effective one was dichlorovos(LC_50 = 320.4793 mg·L~-1).However,these insecticides/acaricides had no effect against eggs.
