Abstract
Liangyou 211, a two line system hybrid rice with high quality, was developed as a new hybrid rice combination. Its female parent is Indica dual purpose genic male sterile line 2136S and male parent is restorer, Duoxi 1. The average yield of Liangyou 211 is 7672.5kg/ha with increasing 3.2% than CK combination for two year regional tests and 7366.5kg/ha with increasing 14.4% than CK combination for one year productive tests in Guizhou. Liangyou 211 possesses characteristics of high yield, good quality, better blast resistance and cold tolerance. It has been released by Guizhou Committee of Crop Variety Examination in 2000. The new combination is suitable for middle high elevation regions and there is a good prospect of utilization for developing high quality rice production.
