Abstract
The communication library systems between message passing interfaces and parallel applications can offer some support for developing high performance parallel applications which are reliable and maintainable. BLACS and OilCL are taken as an example to analyze the functions of the communication library systems from the aspects of abstract name of process, selectivity of message based on source, non-blocking communication, and collective communications.
