Abstract
The prerequisite and basis of understanding contemporary value of Marx's theory on social development is having a comprehensive understanding about Marx's theory on social development.Because the center of Marx's research was the development of capitalist society,Marx's theory didn't provide theoretical guidance directly for the development of contemporary Chinese society.Contemporary value of Marx's theory on social development lies in Marx's methods and value target in studying social development.
