Abstract
In order to afford a theory for tomato planting in the dry area,the characteristics of photosynthesis in tomato leaf was studied.The results showed that the photosynthetic rate(Pn) of the different tomato varieties were different at 9:00 and 11:00 in flowering period,and Pn of Ligeer 87-5 was the highest.The diurnal variation of photosynthetic rate(Pn) in tomatoe leaf were in double-peak curves with decreasing feature at noon.The peak of peripheral leaf was recorded at 11 :00 and 17 :00.The bottom of peripheral leaf was recorded at 13:00.Stomatic conductance was the key factor of midday slump.
