Abstract
The evolution of the traffic network has a significant influence on the variety of central city’s hinterland.Select 1994,2002,2010,2020,four years as time cross-sections.With the support of the socio-economic database and the traffic geographic database of Jiangxi Province,we apply time-distance and field-strength model to divide the Jiangxi’s hinterland of central cities. At the same time, the evolution of the time-based area of central cities and the field-strength hinterland are analyzed out. Some conclusions have been put forward:(1)The optimization of traffic network can bring significant time-space compression effect to hinterland of central cities.(2)The hinterland of central cities is affected by the traffic network of itself and other central cities.(3)The effects of the traffic network evolution on the hinterland of central cities show a variety of features obviously.
