Abstract
Using Cucurbita ficifolia as rootstock,'Bilong No.1 cucumber' as scion, under the factory production mode condition, the effects of different grafting methods on cucumber grafting seedlings were studied by measuring the related indices. The five grafting methods used were close-joining grafting,double-stock root-cut-grafting,cuttage grafting,root-cut-grafting and approach grafting. The results showed that root-cut-grafting could improve grafting efficiency, survival rate, quality of seedlings as well as the initial potential significantly.Root-cut-grafting also had obvious advantages in cucumber commodification. It is concluded that root-cut-grafting is a suitable factory grafting method which has high efficiency and high quality.
