Abstract

Western Marxism originated in the early 20th century as a powerful ideology. In recent years, it has also become an ideological school in China where it is attracting the attention of many scholars. Western Marxism has shown rationality as well as misunderstanding in the interpretation of the doctrine. We should take its rationality and discard its distortion. Chinese scholars'interest in Western Marxism indicates the acceptability and indispensability of Marxism in this country.
