On Implication of Modernism in Li Shang Yin's Titleless Poems

Li Shang Yin's titleless poems, in classical Chinese poetry, is undoubtedly the most extraordinary. The easy switch of their embodiment of the poet's feelings, obscure symbolism, intolerable loneliness and pursuit of desolate romance bear quite obviously implication of modernism in the view of present literary theories. Literary arts, from ancient times to present, has been continuously deepening the depiction of our souls and feelings in letter and in spirit. Considering this, modernist literature is an unique development and progress. And Li Shang Yin, a classical poet whose titleless poems have revealed a distinctive implication of modernism, should be greatly valued.
