Abstract
A series of improvement measures for increasing output of the 0# continuous caster in Bayi Iron Steel Co.,Ltd.,(Bayi Steel for short) were introduced.These measures include enlarging diameter of the tundish upper nozzle,optimizing the water distribution of the secondary cooling scheme,allocating the water proportion reasonably for each cooling section,etc.A better result was gained.The average casting speed was increased from 3.04 m/min in 2008 to 3.21 m/min in 2009.Production of the caster grew from 1 005 179.926 t in 2008 to 1 040 853.075 t in 2009.The quality of the concast billets and the production were stable.
