Study on quality standards for Huoluojiangu Capsules

Abstract

Objective: To establish quality standards for Huoluojiangu Capsules.Methods: Radix Paeoniae Alba and Caulis Sinomenii in Huoluojiangu Capsules were identified by TLC.The content of paeoniflorin in preperation was determined by HPLC.Results: The spots on TLC plates were clear without interference in the blank reference.The methodological study showed that a good linear correlation existed in the rang of 0.16~0.95 μg of paeoniflorin(r=0.999 7).The average recovery of paeoniflorin was 98.9%(n=5) with RSD of 0.96%.Conclusion:The methods are sensitive,simple,accurate and can be used for quality control of Huoluojiangu Capsules.
