Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes with Urinary Tract Infection by Tangzhiqing and Bazhengsan Decoction in 76 Patients

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe Tangzhiqing and Bazhengsan decoction's effect on treating type 2 diabetes with urinary tract infection.METHODS 72 qualified patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with the fasting test results between 6.0~8.0mmol/L.Both of the groups were given the regular antisepsis treatment,with Bazhengsan decoction given to the control group,Tangzhiqing and Bazhengsan decoction given to the treatment group.Bacteriological characters for urinary tract infection as well as the clinical changes before and after the treatment were observed.RESULTS Bacterial culture results showed that most of them were gram negative bacilli.The overall efficacy in treatment group was higher than that of the control group,which was statically significant(P0.05).CONCLUSION Tangzhiqing and Bazhengsan can improve the efficacy of treating diabetes with uninary tract infection.
