Abstract
A reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method has been developed for carbendazim and thiabendazole residues in Longan. Carbendazim and thiabendazole were extracted from Longan samples with acetonitrile. Extracts were cleaned up by Silica Gel column. Analytical samples were determined by HPLC and quantified by external standard method. The average recoveries spiked in longan at two concentration levels of 0.1,0.4 μg/mL ranged from 95.7% to 96.2% and the relative standard deviations were not greater than 2%.The method developed was easier, faster, and had better purification effect. It could can meet the requirements for simultaneous determination of carbendazim and thiabendazole in import and export inspection for Longan.
