Abstract

Several jet propulsion modes adopted by different aquatic lives are summarized firstly.Then the jet propulsion principle and its progress are analyzed.Finally,the state of the art of biomimetic jet propulsion vehicles is presented,and overviews and prospect are made on research in this field.
