Analysis and discussion on field measurement of substation ambient noise

The ambient noise measurement for substations in the city plays an important role in controlling and preventing ambient noise pollution.As the field measurement of substation ambient noise is greatly affected by external factors,the improvement on the measurement accuracy necessitates not only familiarity with the technical features of the sound level meter used but also consideration of the effects of actual geographical environment.This paper describes the application of the sound level meter in measuring substation ambient noise,and makes a discussion on how to improve the field measurement accuracy.Finally,the specific layout of measuring points and the correct application means of sound level meters are introduced in combination with the measurement case in a substation.
