ESTIMATE ON ENDING TIME OF 5TH SEISMIC ACTIVE PERIOD OF NORTHEAST CHINA AND ITS MAXIMAL EARTHQUAKE INTENSITY

Abstract

On the basis of analysis about great situation of NE China earthquake previously,according to the earthquake catalogue in the area since 1900,the seismicity law and developing trend have been studied in detdil by the various methods.The result suggests that 5th seismic active period of NE China will be over in about 2008,and that the maximal earthquake intensity is about magnitude 6 in this active period.
