Abstract

Broad-minded spirit is Su Shi's most important spiritual quality.This paper analyzes the connotation of the spirit and explains the differences between Su Shi and the other people.This spirit grows out of his deep life misery and it undergoes two states: relief and pursuance.In the ideological system of Su Shi,Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism coexist and compliment and it forms a unified ideological basis,but the ultimate purpose is to be a positive person who can make great achievements.
