Comparison study of leflunomide and cydophosphamide on IgA nephropathy(Nephritis Syndrome Type)

Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of leflunomide(LEF)and cyclophosphamide(CTX)combined with glucocorticoid respectively in treatment of IgA nephropathy(nephritis syndrome type).Methods Randomly divided the 56 patients into two groups,respectively given glucocorticoid+LEF or glucocorticoid+CTX and detected Blood routine,routine urine,24h urinary protein,serum albumin(Alb),alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,serum creatinine(Scr)after 28 weeks,Then analyze the efficacy and adverse reactions.Rusults At the end of the Follow-up LEF group total effective rate was 71.4%,CTX group total effective rate was 64.3%,There were no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05),The adverse reactions occurred in the early of the treatment,It can be easing after symptomatic treatment,There were no patients withdrew because of serious adverse reactions;The incidence of adverse reactions in the LEF group was17.9%,while the CTX group was32.1%,There were significantly different between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion LEF combined with glucocorticoid have similar efficacy with CTX combined with glucocorticoid in treatment of IgA nephropathy which is manifested with nephrotic syndrome mainly;It has well tolerated,but its long-term efficacy and side effects remain to be seen.
