Analysis on bone marrow of 62 patients with multiple myeloma

Abstract

Aim To analyze the characters of bone marrow,to differentiate and diagnose the multiple myeloma(MM) and the reactive plasmacytosis(RP).Method Retrospective study was applied to analyze the bone marrow of 62 multiple myeloma cases and 15 reactive plasmacytosis cases,finding out the difference between them.Results There were significant differences(P0.05) between MM and RP in plasmacyte shape and every stage.There were significant differences(P0.05) between MM and RP in osteoclast quantity and incidence of ostalgia.Conclusion Correct analysis of the plasmacyte,the osteoclast in bone marrow and clinical manifestation is essential to MM and RP differentiation and diagnosis.
