Abstract

Theconnection between new institutionalism and political science is a necessity as new institutionalism develops.New institutionalism in politics first appears as the state-theory transferred from new institutional economics.The defect of the state-theory in new institutional economics is made up by the rise of new institutional politics.The classical cases about Chinese institutional changes on the key period of society change have provided rich materials to new institutionalism theory in political science as well as rare opportunites for the development of Chinese political science.
