Applying Data Mining Technology to Study the Rule of Specific Acupoints with Acupuncture for Gastric Abscess in Ancient Literatures

Objective:Applying data mining technology to analyze the rule of specific acupoints with acupuncture for gastric abscess in ancient literatures. Methods:Through formulating the source and standards of collection of data,specifying the name of disease and acupoints,using data mining technology to analyze it. Results:88 specific acupoints were selected with acupuncture for gastric abscess,accounting for 90. 74% in total acupoints,most belonging to frontmu,hesea,stream-jing,connecting-luo acupoints of stomachache meridian,while zhongwan( CV12) was used most frequently; the analysis of compatibility of specific acu-points indicated the supportive degree of compatibility between beishu and convergent acupoints was the highest( 16. 38% ) ,the compatibility among mu acupoints of stomachache,beishu acupoints and convergent acupoint was most. Conclusion:selection of specific acupoints and the compatibility among specific acupoints is the main principal with acupuncture for gastric abscess,which manifests the feature of selection acupoints along the meridian,and the manipulation is obvious moxibustion,acupuncture as an adjunctive,not considering much about kinds of manipulation of acupuncture and moxibustion.
